One of the first birds in our show, Pancho is one of our most enduring and endearing performers. He is also our most musical, singing and speaking a seven-number routine.
His musical numbers include "Bali-Hai", "I Left My Heart In San Francisco", and "When It's Springtime In The Rockies", as well as two sonorous "warm-up's", and a lilting "What'cha Doing Up there, Huh?".
And it's not uncommon for members of the audience to join in, and sing-along!
Performing for over 30 million guests over the years, he has reached many millions more with his multiple appearances on Johnny Carson, That's Incredible, Late-Night with David Letterman, Those Amazing Animals, Jay Leno, and multiple appearances on the local news feature productions and "morning shows" of nearly all the local television stations.

Long a star of the stage, Pancho also cut a track for a 45 single! With vocal and orchestral backing, it’s a medley of his renditions of “I Left My Heart In San Francisco”, “When It’s Springtime In The Rockies”, and “Bali-Hai”. Click the record sleeve to hear it play.
Pancho has also inspired other artists in his long career, including Jerry Garcia! Click the picture to learn more of his tribute to Pancho. This short clip of a man imitating a bird imitating a singer appears in the video "Grateful DAWG"
